If it wasn’t for meeting Adam and Hannah from home, at this place I would have completely missed it, but Cumberland has a great vibe about town. Being there on a Friday and Saturday definitely helped as everything properly shuts down Sunday. As an outdoorsy hub it’s full of mountain bikers and hikers, and with breweries and nice restaurants there’s plenty to unwind after a day of exercise. Comox lake is also a treat, although the water is exceptionally cold during June ! An optimistic swim turned into a 5 minute dunk, freeze and get out into the warm sun on the beach…
